She will be missed...

Shayna Harder was my best friend in Middle School.  I will never forget the day she moved away.  I was heartbroken.  We kept in touch for many years, but as people will do, we lost touch as the years went on and we got older.  We have only seen each other a hand full of times since those middle school days and now we only talk occasionally through Myspace.  But despite that lapse in communication between the two of us, her family has always held a special place in my heart.  

I sent out an email not too long ago for people to pray for Shayna's sister, Ramey.  Mere months ago Ramey was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  And just two days ago she passed on from this earthly life to the next with her Heavenly Father.  Though I didn't know Ramey well, I know that she was a beautiful young woman who lived a life giving praise and glory to Jesus Christ.   For most of my life I knew Ramey only as Shayna's big sister and friend to my best friend Karla's sisters.  But as these days have gone on and I've read this blog  and watched this video I have come to see her as so much more.  Her life has touched so many and I can not even fathom how her family is feeling right now.  I praise Jesus for the time that Ramey spent on this earth and for the lives that she touched along the way.  I know, without a doubt, that God will use this situation to further His kingdom.

As I wrote in the entry before, I have truly been blessed.  Thank you Lord for allowing me to wake up again today and be a wife, mother, daughter and friend.  May each day I spend on this Earth be one lived in your will.
